On Sept, 24, 2019, three Life Care facilities in East Tennessee took part in the 50+ Senior Expo held at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Life Care Centers of Elizabethton, Gray and Greeneville teamed up together with a booth at the event, which drew around 400 people from the surrounding communities. Business development directors from each facility attended and gave away pens, notebooks, medication trackers, flyers and brochures.

“We talked to people about our long-term care and inpatient skilled nursing services and also pushed our outpatient services,” said Amanda Jennings, from the Elizabethton facility. “A lot of people didn’t know that we offered that, and sometimes one of our facilities is closer for them to go to versus the hospital or another therapy place further in town.”

Associates also enjoyed that they got to meet Marge from Marge and in Charge, a local senior who has recently gone viral on YouTube. She was one of the featured guests at the expo.

“The number of community members we were able to reach and educate was amazing,” said Beverly Painter, from Life Care Center of Greeneville. “It’s always a blessing when we can work together and be a resource for our community.”
